Program evaluation, when used consistently and correctly, has the ability to transform programs. We believe this process is most valuable to organizations that dare to ask tough questions and approach the answers with openness.
We approach program evaluation with a collaborative, client-first approach.
As part of the collaborative approach, key personnel will have the opportunity to work with our team to create the evaluation questions, craft the tools to answer them, and interpret our findings together. There is no surprising final report that shocks and discourages, or sits in a filing cabinet unused. Instead, we co-create materials that can be used by a variety of stakeholders for years to come.
We have experience evaluating large-scale, multi-year state and federal grants. We also work on smaller-scale program evaluations from time to time.
For clients who really want to embrace a continuous improvement mindset, we can create a custom evaluation toolkit that can be used by both program staff and external evaluators to fuel change.
Data Analysis

After collaborating on a series of questions (for example, “What factors in our student data predict on-time graduation?” or “What clinical risk factors are most predictive of low birthweight?”), we open up your database to discover answers that are hiding in plain sight.
Now, the data has transformed into information that can be used to understand the strengths and weaknesses of your organization, to find areas to improve, and most importantly – to make decisions.
We have experience with many types of quantitative analyses, including hierarchical linear models, ANOVAs, text mining, and even machine learning.

A recent Agile Analytics analysis found that Breakthrough AISD students were significantly more likely than their matched control peers to attend college, directly enroll in college from high school, and to earn a bachelor’s degree.
In terms of cost, we estimated the net gain for 100 participating Breakthrough students was $11,490,000 more than earnings among 100 similar non-Breakthrough students (above and beyond program costs).
